The production workshop of Vietnam Sunan Paper Co., Ltd. is currently operating smoothly with the newly commissioned PM8 paper machine production line. Its automation level, operational efficiency, product quality, and energy consumption metrics are all at the advanced level in the industry. As a key piece of equipment for the main drive system of the entire paper production line, the frequency inverter plays an important role in enhancing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, reducing energy consumption, and achieving automated control. This PM8 paper machine project represents a new achievement for Hewei Transmission products in the overseas market. The entire main drive system on-site uses the Hewei HD2000 series low-voltage engineering frequency inverters. The successful commissioning of this project also marks a new breakthrough for COENG in the application of main drive systems in the paper industry.
The HD2000 series low-voltage engineering frequency inverter used in the project features engineered reliability design, strong adaptability, and a "modular" design. Its superior control performance effectively enhances motor control accuracy and response speed, reducing the occurrence of paper breaks. The static speed accuracy of the drive system in the project is 0.01%, while the dynamic speed accuracy is 0.05%. The inverter supports automatic online switching between CLVC and OLVC modes.
Additionally, it employs a master-slave control system with adjustable load distribution balance of 50%. The static tension offset is less than 0.5%, and the dynamic tension offset is less than 2%. The control performance and technical specifications of the HD2000 series low-voltage engineering frequency inverter reach an internationally leading level, ensuring the reliability of paper machinery and supporting lean production.
In addition, the drive system offers high maintenance convenience with its modular design, allowing for full front-side maintenance of all internal components. Spare parts can be replaced individually, significantly reducing customer maintenance time.
The system also boasts strong communication capabilities and customization options, supporting various communication protocols such as Profibus-DP, CANopen, Profinet IO, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and ControlNet. It includes an STO safety function, effectively preventing accidental motor start-ups and ensuring safe operation of the equipment. Currently, the HD2000 series products are operating well on-site, with stable performance and receiving high praise from customers.
