Recently, COENG Electric achieved a milestone in the non-ferrous metals industry with the successful commissioning of the first coil from the 1850mm hot tandem rolling mill and the inaugural 1850mm cold-rolled product at Guochao Aluminum's 200,000-ton annual production project for new energy battery foil substrates. This marks COENG's new journey in the aluminum processing sector.

Located in Yongning District's Emerging Industrial Park, Nanning, this strategic project focuses on producing aluminum foil substrates for new energy vehicle power batteries, battery casings, and strip-foil materials. It serves as a cornerstone initiative for establishing Nanning's 100-billion-yuan aluminum-based new materials processing cluster and strengthening regional aluminum industry integration.

 

Despite tight project timelines and intensive delivery/debugging challenges, COENG Electric ensured on-time delivery through rigorous schedule management. During commissioning, experienced engineers were deployed to achieve flawless system integration. Over 300 COENG drive systems - including HV350 Series Universal Type, HV500 Series Engineering Type single-drive, and HD2000 Series Engineering Type multi-drive frequency converters - were successfully commissioned in one attempt. These systems now reliably power main and auxiliary drives across critical production lines:

  • 1850mm twin-stand cold tandem rolling mill

  • 1850mm air-cushion continuous heat treatment furnace
